Power management and distribution

For Power Electronics, Crisa has developed a wide range of flight units for power management, conversion and distribution.

• Power Subsystem Engineering
• Power Control: battery management, solar array regulations, main error amplifier
• Power Distribution: heaters, pyrotechnics, thermal knives, latching and fold-back current limiters
• Driving Mechanisms: active antennas, heaters, solar arrays, electrovalves (inc. cryogenics), optical mechanisms , motors (stepper, torque, brushless, linear , electro explosive devices, calibration sources)
• Payload and Auxiliary DC/DC converters, low voltage/high current DC/DC converters, transponder DC/DC converters, and Solid State Power Controllers functions (SSPCs)
• Coolers driving electronics: pulse type, Stirling, sorption, Brayton covering temperatures from 190ºK to 5ºK

LISA Pathfinder: paving the way for ambitious LISA mission

LISA Pathfinder will perform in-orbit testing of gravitational reference sensors, laser interferometry and micro-Newton thrusters. Once validated, these technologies will be applied to the LISA mission for highly accurate formation flying and precise measurement of the separation between two very distant spacecraft
